Adobe Edge Code (aka Brackets) is a simple code editor for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (created in those languages also) that is perfectly fine for learning with. It’s a free and open-source editor that Adobe makes available through its Creative Cloud program.

Practice Skills

Download Adobe Edge Code and create several basic web pages. Make sure you do the following…

  • Create a folder to keep your practice files organized.
  • Make at least half a dozen simple web pages that include doctype definition, head section with character encoding and title, and body section with a heading and paragraph.
  • Have multiple web pages (HTML files) open within Edge Code so you can easily jump back and forth between different files.
